This is a must have for a new paint job. You will be very pleased with the way the chrome shine's and make's your Monte Carlo look new again. The chrome trim strip's will outlast the car. GM was over $210.00 just for the front and $420.00 for full set when it was available. Removal of old trim: Pull the old trim off. Scrape the old adhesive off the rubber bumper part. Prep where this new trim will lay flat against the rubber bumper part and will stick to it. The old adhesive need's to be removed before new trim go's on. Use a scraper where the old adhesive was. Scrape it lightly and the old adhesive will come off. Then when all the old adhesive is off the rubber bumper part, put the new trim on. 3M adhesive remover may be needed but not usually. Installation: The trim has the blue protective plastic coating over the chrome. The blue plastic coating pull's right off the chrome part. The trim has the 3M adhesive on the back of trim. Pull off the red tape, start at one corner and tuck the end in and press against the rubber bumper part. Then pushing the chrome trim against it all the way around to other side and tuck it in at end. Make sure the trim is warm when you go to put it on. This will make bending around corner's easier and bend to the contour of the bumper. If the trim feel's cold, heat it lightly with blow dryer. You only have to warm it up if you are outside in the cold putting the trim on.
